On January 14, Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. (JSHT) held a grand delivery ceremony for the first 63,500 DWT bulk carrier “GH PRIDE” built for Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group). This marks the first ultramax vessel in Guohang Ocean Shipping’s fleet, signifying a milestone step in the company’s fleet structure upgrade and operational capacity expansion.

As a modern bulk carrier that integrates safety, efficiency, low carbon emissions, and intelligence, the “GH PRIDE” embodies the concept of green development throughout its design and construction, showcasing its core strengths.
It is worth noting that the “GH PRIDE,” as the first vessel in the 63,500 DWT series of bulk carriers, is also the first new vessel delivered and put into operation by Guohang Ocean Shipping in 2026. It is understood that Guohang Ocean Shipping will see the delivery of six new vessels throughout the year, accelerating the pace of fleet expansion and upgrading.
The commissioning of the GH PRIDE will fully demonstrate its performance advantages in safety, efficiency, and low-carbon environmental protection, undertaking the dual mission of ensuring bulk cargo transportation while safeguarding the ecological environment.
This vessel features an oversized cargo hold equipped with four cranes and grabs, enhancing cargo adaptability. Its innovative hull design, paired with ESD energy efficiency enhancement devices and a low-wind-resistance superstructure, significantly reduces fuel consumption during navigation.
The vessel features a refined structural design and comprehensive lightweighting across all disciplines, enhancing its deadweight capacity while meeting CSR-H safety standards. Its oversized cargo holds further improve cargo adaptability. The vessel achieves an Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meeting IMO Phase III requirements and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions compliant with Tier III standards, delivering truly green navigation.
GH PRIDE will be fully integrated with the MOS shipping management system developed by Guoyuan Haike, further advancing the Group’s digital and intelligent fleet development. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with the intelligent N-Navigation Safety Assistance System, ensuring safe passage in complex sea conditions.

This is not only a vivid example of Guohang Ocean Shipping’s practice of the new development philosophy, implementation of the “dual carbon” target and “smart shipping” strategy, but also a model that can be learned from for the green, low-carbon and intelligent transformation of the shipping industry. It will lead the industry’s high-quality development with its benchmark strength and contribute Chinese wisdom and Guohang Ocean Shipping’s strength to the green future of the global shipping industry.
