New Yangzi Shipbuilding Delivers 114,000 DWT Aframax Tanker “LUCKNAM” to LASKARIDIS

On January 10, New Yangzi Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, delivered the 114,000 DWT oil tanker “LUCKNAM” to owner LASKARIDIS. The vessel set sail from the shipyard’s dock and commenced operations.

On January 7, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and shipowner LASKARIDIS jointly held the naming ceremony for the vessel “LUCKNAM.” On January 8, Mr. Kyriakos Lykidis, representative of the shipowner company, and Mr. Du Chengzhong, Deputy General Manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of New Yangtze Shipbuilding, signed the delivery document for the “LUCKNAM” on behalf of their respective parties.

The “LUCKNAM” vessel is 248.8 meters long, 44.0 meters wide, 21.5 meters deep, has a structural draft of 15.0 meters, a design draft of 13.5 meters and a design speed of 14.5 knots.

This 114,000 DWT tanker represents a classic Aframax design, serving as the backbone of the global crude oil and refined petroleum product transportation market. The vessel boasts advantages including green energy efficiency, substantial cargo capacity and advanced automation. Its fuel consumption, speed, and crew comfort metrics all meet industry-leading standards.
