On November 18, Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, held the steel cutting ceremony for the 5,000-ton class crane salvage vessel ordered by Yantai Salvage Bureau.

It is understood that the vessel is designed by the Marine Design and Research Institute of China (MARIC). It aims to further enhance the deep-water emergency salvage capabilities of the Yantai Salvage Bureau, expand lifting operations in fields such as offshore engineering and wind power projects, and actively advance the bureau’s equipment modernization.
This vessel is a self-propelled, revolving derrick barge that integrates multiple functions such as transportation, salvage, lifting, hoisting, and wind power installation. With a maximum lifting capacity of 6,000 tons, it possesses the capability to salvage large underwater objects as a whole and quickly clear obstacles, making it of great significance to the Yantai Salvage Bureau in fulfilling its national emergency rescue and salvage public service responsibilities.

Additionally, the vessel can meet the installation and lifting requirements for the vast majority of modules, jackets, monopiles, and substations in the oil and gas and offshore wind power industries, while also providing platform operation support and diving operation support capabilities.
Featuring an advanced design philosophy and robust comprehensive performance, the vessel’s hull is engineered for extreme deep-sea conditions and prolonged heavy swells, delivering exceptional seakeeping and wave-crushing capabilities. Upon completion, it will significantly enhance China’s integrated deep-sea operational and emergency response capabilities.
As the core manufacturing platform of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, Dajin Heavy Industry, relying on its “four bases, one supporting facility and two centers” layout, has accumulated profound expertise in the construction of special vessels and marine engineering equipment. Previously, the collaborative mechanism established between Dajin Heavy Industry and CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP) in several major projects, such as the “Tiejian Daqiaoqi 2” crane vessel and the “Ganghangping 5” wind power installation platform, provided strong support for this project.
Next, Dajin Heavy Industry will gather the best resources, give full play to its technological and industrial chain synergy advantages, as well as meticulously control every process to strive to make the ship an industry benchmark.
