Anji Logistics Takes Delivery of 40th Self-owned RoRo Vessel

On October 22, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 40th self-operated Ro-Ro vessel of Anji Logistics—the 9,500 CEU PCTC (pure car and track carrier) “Anji Forever”. This marks the seventh new vessel joining Anji Logistics’ ocean-going fleet this year and the fifth new 9,500 CEU capacity vessel.

This vessel is currently the world’s largest and highest-capacity next-generation ultra-Panamax car carrier. Its onboard intelligent ship system functions as a highly intelligent, responsive, and analytical “superbrain”, capable of uniformly collecting data from over 1,300 monitoring points throughout the vessel. Through big data analysis and shore-based sharing, it enables integrated online management of energy-efficient operations. In terms of sustainable environmental performance, it incorporates a methanol fuel system as a technical safeguard for future carbon-neutral operations, fully demonstrating its internationally leading green and intelligent capabilities.

SAIC Motor has seen impressive overseas sales this year. In September, the company achieved its best performance of the year, selling 101,000 vehicles in overseas markets, a 12.2% year-on-year increase. From January to September, cumulative sales reached 765,000 vehicles, a 3.5% year-on-year increase. The MG brand has performed particularly well in Europe, with deliveries exceeding 220,000 vehicles, maintaining double-digit growth.

In response to the steady expansion of the Group’s overseas operations and robust growth in the European region, Anji Logistics has proactively built its transport capacity system. It has established China’s largest self-operated RoRo fleet, comprising 40 RoRo vessels serving multiple international routes including Europe, Mexico, the Persian Gulf, and Australia/New Zealand.

The Anji Forever will be deployed on European routes, working alongside other Anji vessels to forge an unbreakable maritime artery for China’s automotive exports.
