On September 25, Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry delivered the first “Guang Wu Kou” part of the 7,500 CEU LNG PCTC series to Japan’s Santoku Senpaku after the signing of delivery documents.
The “Guang Wu Kou” is the 35th PCTC delivered by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry. As a world-leading clean energy vessel, it has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a depth of 14.8 meters, and a designed draft of 8.65 meters. It features 13 car decks (9 fixed and 4 movable), allowing it to flexibly accommodate 7,500 vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, and construction machinery.
That same afternoon, Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry sent off the 41,000 DWT oil and chemical tanker it built for German Tanker Shipping, which departed port for sea trials.
This vessel is the first oil and chemical tanker produced by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry after its product transformation. This sea trial is not only a test of the new vessel, but also represents a substantial breakthrough for the company in expanding its product portfolio and entering the high-end liquid cargo shipping market.
It is understood that the total length of the vessel is about 199.0m, the width is 32.2m, the depth is 16.6m, the designed draft is 11.1m, the structural draft is 12.0m, and the deadweight at the designed draft is 41,000 ton.
