Astro Offshore Bolsters West Africa Presence with Strategic Five-Vessel Acquisition

Astro Offshore, the offshore services provider under the Adani Group, has further expanded its fleet with the en bloc acquisition of five vessels.

The acquisition includes four platform supply vessels (PSVs), two of which are diesel-electric hybrid vessels, and a fifth vessel—a diesel-electric hybrid multi-purpose supply vessel (MPSV) equipped with a 160-ton crane. The specific transaction amount has not been disclosed.

Astro Offshore acquired two PSVs earlier this month, bringing its fleet size to 49 vessels with the addition of five new DP2 vessels. Two sister vessels, Sagitta and Sculptor, will join the fleet in the coming weeks.

Astro Offshore stated that by expanding its PSV fleet and continuing to invest in its workboat fleet, the company will be able to provide more comprehensive support to oil companies in key offshore markets.

This expansion also solidifies Astro Offshore’s position in the West African market. With its expanded capacity and advanced fleet, the company will more effectively support long-term operations and provide customized solutions tailored to regional and international demands.
