Geely’s Second LNG Dual-Fuel Ro-Ro Vessel “Jisu Glory” Enters Service to Boost China Auto Exports

On September 21, the “Jisu Glory”, the second self-operated LNG dual-fuel ro-ro vessel of Jisu Logistics under Geely, officially commenced operations. The vessel will depart from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and sail directly to multiple key ports in Europe, further expanding international logistics channels for Chinese automobile exports and enhancing the resilience of the global supply chain.

The vessel is 199.9 meters long and 38 meters wide, equipped with 7,000 standard parking spaces. It has 12 decks capable of carrying both fuel-powered and lithium-ion battery vehicles. Four of these decks are elevating to accommodate vehicles of varying sizes. Decks 11 and 12 are also suitable for transporting new energy vehicles fueled by hydrogen and natural gas.

The Jisu Glory is equipped with two 2,000-cubic-meter Type-C LNG storage tanks, utilizing green and clean LNG as its primary fuel. This significantly reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides while effectively enhancing the vessel’s energy efficiency and emission reduction capabilities, establishing it as a new-generation eco-friendly vessel. Its hull design and multiple energy-saving systems further optimize the vessel’s energy efficiency, providing more stable and low-carbon logistics support for the global delivery of China’s new energy vehicles.

On September 20, the LNG bunkering vessel “Haiyang Shiyou 302” successfully supplied 2,574 cubic meters of bonded LNG fuel to the ro-ro vessel “Jisu Glory” at the Mexi Ro-Ro Terminal in Ningbo Zhoushan Port. This marks the first LNG bunkering operation for a ro-ro vessel in Zhejiang Province.

According to previous reports, the first self-operated ro-ro vessel in the series, the JISU FORTUNE, was christened and commenced its maiden voyage on May 22.
