On September 15th, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Guangzhou Shipyard International held the launching ceremony for the 3rd and 5th vessels of the 111,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel crude oil/product oil tankers built for Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS).
It is reported that a total of eight vessels are planned for this series, with the first vessel having completed its launch at the end of July.
This vessel type is a new generation LRII oil tanker independently developed and designed by Guangzhou Shipyard International. It adopts dual-fuel propulsion of fuel oil and LNG. The vessel has a total length of 250 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a structural draft of 14.7 meters and a service speed of 14.5 knots.
The vessel meets IMO Tier III emission standards and achieves the third-stage requirements for the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). It features high speed, light lightship weight, low energy consumption and strong adaptability. In terms of energy consumption metrics, environmental performance and reliability requirements, this vessel has reached the leading level among vessels of its type.
