Jiangsu Dayang Offshore Equipment to Build Four 3,000 TEU Boxships for Anhui Zhongxin Funeng

Recently, Jiangsu Dayang Offshore Equipment Co.,Ltd (DYOE) and Anhui Zhongxin Funeng Shipping signed a construction contract for four 3,000TEU container ships.

This vessel is a 3,000 TEU container ship designed by the Marine Design and Research Institute of China (MARIC). With an overall length of 186 meters and a beam of 34.8 meters, it has a total container capacity of approximately 3,010 TEUs, including approximately 1,930 TEUs on deck and approximately 1,080 TEUs in the holds.

Its main engine is equipped with a high-efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, meeting the Phase III requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).

This ship is suitable for short-haul regional cargo transportation, supporting both on-deck and in-hold container stowage, with sufficient capacity for refrigerated containers. Meanwhile, it is outfitted with modern navigation equipment such as radar, ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System), autopilot, and VDR (Voyage Data Recorder), enabling automated navigation at the AUT-0 level.

This cooperation marks another important breakthrough for DYOE in the field of container ship construction, and also demonstrates Anhui Zhongxin Funeng Shipping’s firm determination to expand the international shipping market and improve the level of shipping equipment. The two parties will take this cooperation as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of shipbuilding, shipping services and other fields.
