According to China Classification Society, Liaoning Xinhai Shipbuilding & Repairing Co., Ltd. recently held a kick-off ceremony for the new 4,300 DWT dry cargo ship (1+6) project. All vessels in this series will be classified by China Classification Society (CCS).
At the kick-off ceremony, Liaoning Xinhai Shipbuilding & Repairing stated that it took less than half a year from the establishment of the company to securing orders. The achievement could not have been made without the strong support of the Qinhuangdao Branch of CCS. It will continue to deepen friendly cooperation with the Qinhuangdao Branch in the future and hopes that the Qinhuangdao Branch will continue to provide support and assistance for the company’s development.
Public information indicates that Liaoning Xinhai Shipbuilding & Repairing was established on February 21, 2025, with registered capital of RMB 50 million. Its legal representative is Li Hongwei. Located in Longgang District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province (adjacent to the shipbuilding industry cluster), its core businesses include ship design, construction, repair, and conversion; marine equipment manufacturing; offshore engineering support; import and export of goods; and technical services.
Liaoning Xinhai Shipbuilding & Repairing is jointly owned by Li Hongwei (40% stake), Zhang Yu (30%), and Li Baohua (30%), with subscribed capital contributions of RMB 20 million, RMB 15 million, and RMB 15 million respectively.
As a newly established shipyard, Liaoning Xinhai Shipbuilding & Repairing achieved a major breakthrough in the newbuilding market within six months and successfully launched the construction of a 4,300-deadweight-ton dry bulk carrier, marking a significant milestone since the company’s establishment.
