On August 30, Sanfu Shipbuilding successfully launched the sixth 3500TEU dual-fuel (LNG+MGO) container vessel for an American shipowner at the company’s No. 4 slipway.
Designed by German firm HB HUNTE, this series of 3,500 TEU dual-fuel container vessels feature a forecastle design. Classed by DNV, the ship has an overall length of 248.00 meters, a beam of 35.20 meters, a depth of 19.2 meters, a design draft of 11.00 meters, a maximum deadweight of 51,000 tons, a maximum container capacity of 3,666 TEUs (including 1,076 refrigerated containers) and a design speed of 19.5 knots.
On August 22, Sanfu Shipbuilding successfully delivered the fifth sister ship to the American shipowner. The construction quality and speed of this series have earned the shipowner’s high trust. Concurrently with this delivery, Sanfu Shipbuilding signed a contract with the shipowner for the construction of the seventh vessel.
