In the first ten days of August, New Times Shipbuilding successfully met multiple production milestones as scheduled: the 5# 298,000 DWT vessel and the 12#/45# 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel oil tankers kicked off construction one after another; the 2#/3#/4# 11,400-TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships were successfully launched; and the 56# 50,000 DWT chemical tanker was completed and delivered.
Construction started on 5# 298,000 DWT and 12#/45# 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel tankers
The 5# 298,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel powered oil tanker is the first vessel in the VLCC series ordered by shipowner Andes from New Times Shipbuilding. It is also the first LNG dual-fuel powered VLCC built by New Times Shipbuilding, further expanding the company’s green vessel product portfolio and enhancing its market competitiveness.
This series of vessels are 332.95 meters long, 60 meters wide, 29.60 meters deep, with a designed draft of 20.50 meters and a structural draft of 21.70 meters.
12# 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel oil tanker is the final product of the shipowner EPS’s 155,500 DWT series of dual-fuel oil tankers.
45# 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel oil tanker is the third vessel in the shipowner MARAN’s 155,500 DWT series of dual-fuel oil tankers.
Launching of 2#/3#/4# 11,400-TEU LNG dual-fuel powered container ships
The 11,400-TEU series LNG dual-fuel powered container ship ordered by shipowner MSC has a total length of 335 meters, a molded width of 45.6 meters, a molded depth of 25 meters, a designed draft of 12.5 meters, and a structural draft of 16 meters.
56# 50,000 DWT chemical tanker delivered
On the morning of August 15, New Times Shipbuilding held the completion and delivery ceremony of the 56# 50,000 DWT Class II chemical tanker in the conference room on the eighth floor of its office building.
The vessel is the third in the same series of vessels ordered by the shipowner EPS. It has an overall length of 183.24 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, a depth of 19.1 meters, a designed draft of 11 meters, a structural draft of 13.3 meters, a cargo hold capacity. The cargo hold capacity including slop tank and oil sludge tank is 53,800cbm, the deadweight tonnage at structural draft is 49,450 MT, and it is classed by ABS classification society.
