On July 28, Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (Jinglu Shipyard) successfully delivered the MR chemical tanker “WECO MEMPHIS BELLE” built for Hartree Partners, 95 days ahead of schedule.
It is worth mentioning that this vessel is the first MR tanker designed by FKAB Design Company and also the first vessel delivered through the collaboration between Jinglu Shipyard and FKAB.
It is understood that the vessel is a new generation MR chemical tanker built by Jinglu Shipyard, with a length of 183.1 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters and a designed draft of 11.0 meters.
The vessel is equipped with 20 cargo holds and is currently the most advanced vessel of its type internationally, capable of transporting highly corrosive goods such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid simultaneously. The vessel is equipped with advanced equipment such as shaft generators and desulfurization towers, which can significantly reduce operating costs.
