On July 25, Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding successfully launched a 11,000 DWT multi-purpose vessel (hull number: SF130222) built for a German shipowner.
It’s the 11th vessel in the series. It’s 149.95 meters long, 23.20 meters wide, 10.5 meters deep, with a design draft of 8.50 meters and a speed of 15.5 knots. It’s designed with two 250-ton cranes and is classified by LR.
The vessel is driven by a low-speed diesel engine with a single fixed-pitch propeller. It is equipped with two 250-ton cranes, with a maximum combined lifting capacity of 500 tons. To make cargo loading more flexible and convenient, the vessel features a prominent design where the superstructure is arranged at the bow. Meanwhile, the cargo holds are designed to allow open-top loading, and their depth has been significantly increased to maximize the single-hold capacity and the open area of the weather deck. Additionally, the vessel is designed with two tiers of tween decks, which can be adjusted and stacked at 9 positions (both upper and lower), greatly expanding the variety of cargo that can be loaded.
