Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Hits Dual Milestones with Wan Hai’s 7,000 TEU Steel Cutting and Oceangold’s Aframax Keel Laying

On June 23, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding welcomed the steel cutting of a new vessel and the successful launching of another vessel.

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has successfully kickced off construction of the 7,000 TEU container ship H1354 for Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines.

H1354 is the second 7000TEU container ship built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Wan Hai Lines of Taiwan, China, and classed by China Classification Society (CCS). The ship has a total length of 272.00 meters, a beam of 42.8 meters, a depth of 24.6 meters, a designed draft of 13.0 meters, a designed speed of 21.0 knots. It is equipped with an IAN 7G80ME-C10.5 main engine and meets Tier III standards.

The 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker H1422, built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Oceangold, was successfully keel laid.

At present, all key-path blocks of the H1422 vessel have been fully assembled, and the structural blocks of the entire ship have been completely completed, creating favorable conditions for the rapid outfitting after keel laying.
