Recently, Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding and Qingyuan Lihang Transportation successfully signed a contract for the first batch of ten LNG new energy ships.
Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding and Qingyuan Lihang Transportation have reached a cooperation to build the first batch of ten LNG new energy container ships (front-drive multi-purpose ships), with a total project value of 138 million yuan (approximately US$19 million).
It is understood that this batch of LNG-powered ships can significantly reduce the emission of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and particulate matter compared to traditional fuel ships, building a solid barrier for the ecological protection of the Xijiang River Basin.
The LNG new energy container ship for this cooperation takes into account energy conservation and environmental protection as well as transportation efficiency in design, which will not only enhance the market competitiveness of Qingyuan Lihang Transportation, but also promote the upgrading of the Xijiang shipping industry to green and low-carbon.
Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was established in 2009 with a registered capital of 30 million yuan.
