On June 4, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding signed and delivered the “SEAWISH”, the final product in the 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker series built for Thenamaris of Greece, bringing the series of six vessels to a perfect conclusion.
“SEAWISH” is the latest generation of Aframax tanker independently developed and designed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
The energy efficiency of this series of vessels has been greatly improved through comprehensive hydrodynamic performance optimization, configuration of hydrodynamic energy-saving devices, optimization of main engine selection and many other measures.
The EEDI indexes verified by the real ship have reached the requirements of International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III in 2025 in advance. At the same time, the NOx emission meets the Tier III requirements and the SOx emission meets the emission requirements, which is highly favored by the customers, and is an environmentally friendly, energy-saving, safe and economical green vessel.
Thenamaris is a high-quality strategic partner of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. Since the first cooperation in 2012, the two parties have maintained a long-term stable friendly cooperative relationship, closely cooperated in multiple projects, and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. All six Aframax product tankers were delivered on schedule with high quality, further consolidating the strategic partnership between the two companies.
