N-O-S Orders Four Hybrid E-Class CTVs from Penguin Shipyard

On 23 September, Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) announces the order of four new E-Class crew transfer vessels (CTV), marking a significant expansion of the fleet.

All the four CTVs will be built by Penguin Shipyard in Singapore and are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2025.

The aluminum catamaran vessel is 36.5 meters in length and 11.2 meters in width and can accommodate 32 passengers with a large cargo capacity.

The new vessels will distinguish themselves through a range of innovative features. With updated and improved hull design, the vessels will offer fuel efficiency crucial for reducing environmental impact and enhancing stability. Additionally, the vessels will have significantly improved crew and technician comfort, and feature a large cargo capacity, making the vessel class-ready to meet the future needs of offshore wind.

The new E-Class vessels are built on a future-proof platform designed for efficiency and performance, with a flexible engine configuration intended to use only the power that the current situation requires. The vessels are hybrid and prepared to use both alternative fuels and fully electric modes. The future-proof platform enables a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of our operations. The order of the E-Class vessels demonstrates N-O-S’s strong commitment to leading the way and setting future standards.
