On May 7, Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (SHGSIC) under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Dalian Shipbuilding Industry co.,ltd.(DSIC) held a naming ceremony for the second 7100 TEU container ship C7100-6 built for Germany AL Group, and the ship was named “ALS CLIVIA”.
This is the third 7100TEU container ship built by SHGSIC, having previously delivered one each to Germany’s AL Group and Greece’s DANAOS.
This 7100TEU container ship is a new generation of DSIC’s own brand ship type with high market competitiveness. With an overall length of about 255 meters and a beam of 42.8 meters, the ship can carry 7,096 standard containers and is designed for a speed of 20 knots.
The ship adopts conventional fuel and is a single engine single propeller type container ship driven by low speed main engine with unlimited navigation area.
There are 7 cargo holds in the cargo area, which can carry 9 layers/15 rows of containers. And the deck can carry 10 layers/17 rows of containers and 850 reefer containers. The bow adopts hidden bulbous bow, equipped with bow pushers, and the stern is equipped with twisted rudder and rudder ball, with excellent maneuverability and rapidity index.
