On September 21, Zhoushan Dashenzhou Shipbuilding held a delivery ceremony for the “SH SOPHIA” (Hull No.WZ2401), a 14,000 DWT specialized-coating chemical tanker built for the South Korean shipowner SEONG HO.
It is reported that the vessel, for which the detailed design was completed by South Korea’s KMSEMEC Design Institute, is a specially coated chemical tanker designed for the global deep-sea chemical transport market. The vessel has a total length of approximately 129.50 meters, a beam of 20.80 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 14,000 DWT.
The vessel offers stable overall performance and excellent fuel efficiency. Its cargo holds feature high-standard specialized coating processes, providing exceptional corrosion resistance and cleanliness, enabling the safe and efficient transport of various chemicals and refined oil products. It is widely suitable for global deep-sea shipping routes.
