Winning International Group and CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding Forge 10-Year Shipbuilding & Repair Partnership

On August 27, Winning International Group and China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Beihai Shipbuilding officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on shipbuilding and repair cooperation in Qingdao.

Based on the terms of the MOU, the two parties will formally establish a new cooperative ecosystem for shipbuilding and repair that will be stable and well-established, with deep integration, over the next decade. This initiative marks a new phase in the collaborative development of these two leading enterprises across the upstream and downstream sectors of the shipping and shipbuilding industries.

Over the next ten-year cooperation period, the two parties will establish a regular, integrated joint working mechanism focused on core areas such as the custom construction of new vessels, routine fleet maintenance and repair, technological upgrades for vessels, and full-lifecycle technical support.

Representatives from both parties stated that the signing of this MOU represents a vivid example of the deep integration between shipping capital and leading shipbuilders. Both parties will continue to uphold the principles of integrity, mutual trust, and collaborative innovation, steadily advancing the precise alignment between shipbuilding and shipping operations, jointly setting a new benchmark for the integration of shipbuilding and shipping, and setting sail together on a new journey toward high-quality development.

As a globally renowned comprehensive shipping enterprise, Winning International Group has long been deeply involved in the bulk cargo shipping sector and operates a large-scale, modern fleet of high-quality bauxite carriers. In light of the global trend toward green and low-carbon shipping, Winning International Group has long-standing, stringent requirements for shipbuilding quality, technical retrofits, and full-lifecycle operation and maintenance support. As a leading domestic shipbuilder, CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding possesses a mature smart manufacturing system for the research, development, and construction of its core vessel types, including large ore carriers.

The long-term, ten-year partnership between Winning International Group and Beihai Shipbuilding is rooted in the deep trust built over many years and the successful delivery of projects.

Just recently, the new-generation 325,000 DWT WinningMax ultra-large ore carrier project—jointly developed by Winning International Group and Beihai Shipbuilding—has made significant progress. On June 16 of this year, the first vessel, Winning Ambition, was named and delivered at Beihai Shipbuilding; subsequently, on August 12, the second vessel, Winning Brave, was also successfully named and delivered.
