A total of four vessels are planned for construction in this series — a new generation of single-fuel LR1 tankers developed by GSI in response to shipowners’ requirements. With an overall length of 228 m, a moulded breadth of 36 m, a scantling draft of 13.5 m and a service speed of 14.0 knots, the vessels meet IMO Tier III emission standards and satisfy the Phase III limits of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).

Featuring low energy consumption, high speed, low lightship weight and strong operational adaptability, these tankers achieve world-leading standards in energy efficiency, environmental performance and reliability. Reserved space for future dual-fuel conversion is provided onboard, and the design has been awarded the RINA Green Star 3 notation. This series represents GSI’s independently developed and designed new-generation LR1 flagship tanker.

This series represents GSI’s inaugural order breakthrough in the Latin American market. Guangzhou Shipyard International remains firmly committed to its purpose of “building premium vessels and serving customers worldwide”. With higher‑quality products and superior service, GSI is committed to earning market trust, partnering with more partners for mutual success, and jointly ushering in a new era of high‑quality growth in the shipbuilding sector.
