Mawei Shipbuilding Secures Order for Two Large CSVs

On August 25, Sirius Design & Integration AS announced that the company has signed a contract for the design of two large Construction Support Vessels (CSVs) to be built at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China. The contract includes two firm vessels, with options for two additional units. The customer remains undisclosed.

The vessels have been developed in close cooperation with the customer, a leading player in the energy sector. They are based on Sirius’ CSV design platform and developed for demanding operations and with a strong focus on operational flexibility, energy efficiency, and future-ready solutions. Sirius will deliver the conceptual design and complete basic design package.

The vessels will measure 144.7 metres in length with a beam of 27 metres. Designed to offer market-leading capabilities, they are suited for a wide range of operations within the energy sector. The vessels will be equipped with two large offshore cranes and two LARS for ROV operations, and will be prepared for the installation of a carousel, VLS, and other mission-specific equipment.

The Sirius team brings extensive experience in the design of advanced offshore and construction vessels. This contract represents an important milestone for the company and further strengthens its position within the energy segment.
