On August 12, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) successfully signed off and delivered a 154,000 DWT shuttle tanker built for the Norwegian company KNOT. With this delivery, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) has now delivered a total of nine shuttle tankers in this series.

Classed by DNV, the vessel has an overall length of 278.9 meters, a beam of 47 meters, a depth of 24.9 meters, and a designed draft of 16 meters. The vessel is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning control system and a bow loading system, and its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets the highest standards of EEDI Phase 3.

Through the adoption of advanced design solutions such as a medium-voltage closed-loop busbar system and variable-frequency drive propulsion systems, the vessel effectively reduces generator operating time and significantly improves energy efficiency and consumption reduction. Under equivalent cargo capacity and speed conditions, main engine fuel consumption is significantly reduced, making it an advanced oil tanker with green, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient characteristics.
