On June 17, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) held a steel-cutting ceremony for a 154,000 DWT shuttle tanker ordered by a Norwegian shipowner.
This vessel is the 14th shuttle tanker built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan). Equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system and a bow loading system, the vessel is classified by DNV and was independently designed and developed by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry to meet the advanced international standards for vessels of this type.
The start of construction marks continued progress for COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) in the series production of Suezmax shuttle tankers and further strengthens the foundation for long-term cooperation with leading European shipowners.
