Four Taizhou Shipyards Land Batch New Vessel Orders at 2026 Taizhou Shipbuilding Industry Development Conference

On June 17, the Taizhou Shipbuilding Industry Development Conference was successfully held. During the event, several shipyards signed contracts for new shipbuilding projects.

Wanlong Ship Heavy Industry Wins Order for 2 Aframax Oil Tankers

During the conference, Wanlong Ship Heavy Industry entered into a partnership with Zhegang No. 7 (Tianjin) Ship Leasing, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Port Group, and signed a contract to build two 115,000 DWT Aframax oil tankers. The construction cost per vessel exceeds 400 million yuan, with the total value of the two vessels exceeding 800 million yuan (approximately $118 million).

Earlier this year, Wanlong Ship Heavy Industry also signed a contract with Jiaying Shipping for an Aframax oil tanker project. As of now, all of Wanlong Ship Heavy Industry’s shipbuilding berths are operating at full capacity, and its order book is already filled through 2029.

Taizhou Hongtai Shipbuilding Secures Order for 1 Container Ship

During the Taizhou Shipbuilding Industry Development Conference, Taizhou Hongtai Shipbuilding and Zhoushan Xinjihe International successfully signed a contract for the construction of one 2,000-TEU container ship, with the order valued at 180 million yuan.

Public records show that Taizhou Hongtai Shipbuilding was established in 2008. The shipyard covers an area of 180,000 square meters and features six slipways, along with a fitting-out pier, a steel processing workshop, and a coating facility. It is capable of building vessels up to 80,000 deadweight tons, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 250,000 deadweight tons.

Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Secures Order for 1 Chemical Tanker

During the conference, Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding and Xingtong Shipping signed a contract for one 13,000 DWT duplex stainless steel chemical tanker.

According to an announcement by Xingtong Shipping on June 3, the company has commissioned Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding to build one 13,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker. The contract price is 174.5 million yuan, and delivery is expected by December 30, 2027.

Zhejiang Mingfei Shipbuilding Secures Order for 3+3 Bulk Carriers

In addition, Zhejiang Mingfei Shipbuilding has signed a contract with a shipowner for 3+3 63,500 DWT bulk carriers.

Zhejiang Mingfei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was established in October 2020 and has a 450-meter-long shore line. The shipyard is equipped with two 50,000-metric-ton slipways, two 30,000-metric-ton slipways, and two 20,000-metric-ton slipways. It has an annual shipbuilding capacity of 300,000 deadweight tons and is capable of repairing vessels up to 15,000 deadweight tons.
