China Merchants Shipbuilding Industry Group Qingdao Shipyard Delivers First CV1000TEU Container Ship to German Shipowner AAC

On May 14, China Merchants Shipbuilding Industry Group Qingdao Shipyard held a signing and delivery ceremony for the “Johanna Schepers,” the first CV1000TEU container ship built for German shipowner AAC.

Heino Schepers, Commercial Director of shipowner HS, Ewgeni Proscheligin, Technical Director; Ole Gabs, General Manager of shipowner AAC; Zhang Hongtao, General Manager of resident supervisor OSM; Zhao Fangye, Construction Supervisor; Li Jieming, Commercial Manager of ship broker Haideli; Xu Yiping, Vice President of Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute; Liu Hongping, Deputy Director of Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute; Yu Junxian, Qingdao Regional Manager of DNV GL; Peng Sheng, Executive Vice General Manager of the company; Wei Enpeng, Chief Financial Officer; Ni Weisong, Vice General Manager; Zhang Jinbo, Hu Hang, Vice General Manager; and representatives of the project team attended the ceremony.

Peng Sheng and Heino Schepers signed the vessel delivery documents on behalf of their respective parties and exchanged commemorative gifts, marking the official and successful delivery of the “Johanna Schepers” vessel to the shipowner.

The 1000TEU container ship is a key product of China Merchants Shipbuilding Qingdao Shipyard, which leverages its own hardware advantages to precisely introduce small container ships. Currently, six ships in the series have started construction, forming a large-scale and rhythmic construction pattern.
