China’s fourth-generation jack-up wind power installation platform was completed and delivered

On November 16th, “Huaxi 1600”, the latest generation of jack-up wind power installation platform constructed by CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Co., Ltd, was successfully delivered.

The 1600T wind power installation platform project is the latest generationbuilt by Wuhan Marine Machinery for Huaxicun Offshore Engineering. With a length of 136 meters, a width of 50 meters, a maximum operating depth of 70 meters, a lifting capacity of 1,600 tons for the main crane, and the deck area equivalent to 11 basketball courts. It is the largest operating depth, the strongest offshore construction capacity, the most versatile, and the most efficient truss-type pile-legged wind turbine installation platform in China.

It is understood that the platform is designed by the 708th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), manufactured by CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery, participated in the construction by Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry and other units, and classified by China Classification Society (CCS). It is currently the deepest water depth, the strongest comprehensive installation capacity, the most versatile and the most efficient truss-type pile-leg wind power installation platform in China.

The platform features high degree of informatization and automation, high equipment localization rate, good safety of deep and distant sea construction and operation, advanced platform design, strong power, strong operation capability, which can meet the future requirements of deep and distant sea, large capacity and integrated construction, and belongs to the mainstream construction vessel type for offshore wind power construction in the next 5-10 years.
