Recently, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding launched a 174,000 m³ LNG carrier and a 13,000 TEU dual-fuel container ship. The implementation of lean production has yielded remarkable results, demonstrating the high efficiency and orderly progress of the rhythmic construction process.

The 174,000 m³ LNG carrier is the fifth-generation “Changheng Series” vessel independently developed and designed by Hudong-Zhonghua. It has won the Special Award of the 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF), the Top 10 Innovative Products Award of the 2024 Shipbuilding Industry, and the Top 10 Science and Technology Innovation Award of the 2nd China Marine Equipment Expo 2024.

This vessel incorporates multiple low-carbon energy-saving technologies, featuring low comprehensive energy consumption, excellent low-temperature performance, strong cargo-carrying capacity, and efficient operation and maintenance. It reduces daily carbon emissions by over 10 tons and can access 120 LNG terminals across all continents, demonstrating outstanding global navigability.
The 13,000 TEU dual-fuel container ship is a green and environmentally friendly vessel independently developed and designed by Hudong-Zhonghua. With an overall length of 335 meters, a beam of 51 meters, and a depth of 27.2 meters, it boasts a maximum container capacity of 13,000 TEU and can carry 2,200 refrigerated containers. Equipped with an LNG dual-fuel propulsion system and featuring Hudong-Zhonghua’s self-developed 12,000 m³ Type B LNG fuel tank, it ensures an exceptional range of 22,000 nautical miles in gas mode.

This vessel boasts superior environmental performance, featuring an intelligent exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system to enhance combustion efficiency and reduce emissions. The bow incorporates a proprietary wind deflector design to further minimize navigation resistance.
These innovative technologies and designs enable the vessel to achieve low overall energy consumption, high speed performance, and superior environmental sustainability. Specifically, while meeting the most stringent international environmental regulations, it provides customers with more efficient and economical maritime transportation solutions.
