Construction of 85-Meter Subsea Support and Maintenance Vessel Is Officially Launched

On November 28, Fujian Funing Shipbuilding Heavy Industry under Fujian Shipbuilding kicked off construction of the 85-meter Subsea Support and Maintenance Vessel.

The vessel has an overall length of 85 meters, a beam of 22 meters, a gross tonnage of approximately 5,200 tons, and a design speed of 12.5 knots. Flying a flag of convenience and classified by ABS, it serves as a subsea support and maintenance vessel operating in unlimited navigation zones.

Boasting an all-welded steel structure, the vessel is equipped with two bow thrusters, three main generators, two azimuth propeller sets, two anchor winches, a UAV cabin, a helicopter platform and a moon pool, with a crew capacity of 200.

69.8-Meter Maintenance Vessel Successfully Completes All Sea Trials

Recently, the 69.8-meter maintenance workboat (MW640-1) built by Southeast Shipyard successfully completed all sea trials and returned triumphantly.

The vessel is 69.8 meters long and 17.6 meters wide. It is mainly used for the transfer of industrial personnel, fresh water, drilling water, fuel oil supply and deck cargo transportation for offshore drilling platforms. Classed by ABS and meets the requirements of DPS-2, FFV1 and ESS-LiBATTERY class notations, it is an efficient and economical offshore maintenance work vessel.

During sea trials, the vessel conducted multiple performance and system tests in the designated sea area. Key systems including the speed, maneuverability, stability, and dynamic positioning (DP) system all demonstrated outstanding performance, with all technical indicators and data meeting design standards.

Keel Laying Completed for 94.76-Meter Platform Supply Vessel

On November 27, Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding under Fujian Shipbuilding successfully laid keel for the 94.76-meter platform supply vessel (MW642-2).

The vessel measures 94.76 meters in overall length and 19 meters in beam. The vessel employs a new electric propulsion system powered by four 2200KW diesel generator sets providing comprehensive power and electrical support. The vessel adopts a brand-new electric propulsion system, powered by four 2200KW diesel generator sets providing comprehensive power and electrical support. It features two 2150KW fixed-pitch azimuth thrusters, two 1250KW tunnel bow thrusters, and one 1000kW fully rotatable telescopic bow thruster. The vessel is classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR) and meets requirements for DP(AA), ECO, CAC3, and GR(ML, A) class notations.

This vessel is primarily used for transferring personnel and supplies to offshore drilling platforms. It can transport freshwater, fuel oil, cement, drilling mud, drilling water, crude oil, methanol, materials and equipment. Additionally, it can provide firefighting support and personnel rescue services to other vessels or offshore facilities.
