On November 12, the civil engineering construction of Wison Offshore & Marine’s Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project has completed 70% of the total project, and the project is fully sprinting toward the key milestone of trial production by the end of 2025.

Located at the East Port Basin of Lüsi Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project covers a land area of 1,685 mu (approximately 112.33 hectares) with a total construction area of 320,000 square meters. It is designed to produce 2 medium-to-large floating natural gas facilities annually, with an estimated annual taxable sales volume of 20 billion yuan and tax contribution of 500 million yuan.
On August 1, 2024, Wison New Energy (WNE) announced the signing of an investment agreement with the Qidong Municipal Government, marking the official launch of the Qidong Wison Offshore Equipment Base Project. Construction commenced on February 5, 2025. By October 20 of the same year, construction across the project’s core areas had fully expanded, with simultaneous breakthroughs achieved in three key zones: the land-based site, the outfitting pier, and the offshore dry dock.
The WNE Qidong Base represents a total investment of 9 billion yuan (approximately US$1.267 billion), covering approximately 1.2 million square meters. Phase I features 1,370 meters of dredged deepwater harbor shoreline resources.

According to the project plan, the base will construct one offshore engineering dock measuring 520 meters in length and 110 meters in width, equipped with a gantry crane capable of lifting 2,000 tons. The module assembly area spans approximately 150,000 square meters, featuring a 5,000-ton module hoisting and shipping berth and a 10,000-ton module rolling-out terminal. The module yard will be equipped with a gantry crane capable of lifting 1,200 tons.
Under the plan, the majority of production facilities on the land area of the Qidong base are expected to be fully completed and operational by the end of 2025. The base possesses an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons of steel. The overall outfitting pier project is scheduled for completion by the end of February 2026. The offshore engineering dock project is projected to be completed and officially put into operation by the end of June 2026.

As another core strategic platform for enhancing WNE’s global competitiveness, this base project will become a key pillar for WNE’s production capacity upgrade upon completion. It will significantly strengthen WNE’s full-industry-chain integration capabilities and its capacity for green, large-scale, and intelligent construction in the clean energy sector—particularly for high-end offshore engineering equipment such as large and ultra-large floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) production units, low-carbon floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) units, and modular facilities.
