China’s CSSC Signs $610 Million in Deals at CIIE, Setting New Procurement Record

On November 6, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) hosted a centralized signing ceremony for international procurement projects during the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) at the Shanghai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

At the ceremony, China Shipbuilding Trading Company (CSTC) – the international trading arm of CSSC – joined forces with 10 subsidiary manufacturing enterprises under the CSSC unbrella to ink 35 contracts with 24 international suppliers from 13 countries and regions.

The agreements cover key shipbuilding equipment, including marine engines, generators, communication and navigation systems, cargo handling systems, and monitoring and alarm systems. With a total value of US$610 million, the contracts represent a 9% increase compared to the previous CIIE in 2024, setting a new record for CSSC’s procurement scale at CIIE.
