On September 22, Zhoushan Changhong International officially kicked off construction of the seventh 10,300-TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship (Hull No. CHB2043) for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) with an ignition ceremony in its smart workshop.
This ship was jointly developed and designed by CIMC Ocean Engineering Design & Research Institute (CIMC ORIC).
Classed by Lloyd’s Register, the ship has an overall length of 299.95 meters, a beam of 45.6 meters, a depth of 25.0 meters, a structural draft of 17.5 meters and a design speed of 20 knots.
