Recently, the 450-ton gantry crane in the flat slipway area of Mawei Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, has completed commissioning and certification, and has been officially put into use. This marks an important step forward for the company in enhancing shipbuilding capacity and optimizing production processes.
The gantry crane is a double main girder, medium-tonnage, medium-span gantry crane, composed of a gantry structure, upper and lower trolleys, traveling mechanisms, electrical equipment, and a cantilever slewing crane for maintenance. Its gantry adopts a trapezoidal double-beam design, with an I-shaped rigid leg and an A-shaped flexible leg structure.
It is reported that the commissioning of this equipment will further unlock the core production capacity of the flat berth area at Mawei Shipbuilding, alleviate the load pressure on existing equipment, and significantly enhance the capacity for assembling internal and external collaboration sections and total sections.
This will promote the development of larger and more integrated total sections, effectively improve the construction efficiency of high-tech vessels such as platform supply ships, high-end fishing boats, and asphalt carriers, and provide solid support for the batch and continuous construction of advantageous ship types.
