CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding Delivers 16,000 TEU Container Ship 162 Days Ahead of Schedule

On May 22, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding (a subsidiary of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, DSIC), in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), named and delivered the 13th LNG dual-fuel 16,000 TEU container ship “Josefina” to Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) 162 days ahead of schedule.

With an overall length of 366 meters and a beam of 51 meters, the ship can carry 16,196 standard containers, including 1,800 reefer containers.

“Josefina” adopts a new design concept of “safety, economy and environmental protection” and is equipped with a ship energy efficiency management system. It integrates many energy-saving measures suitable for actual ship operations and has high practical operational operability, making it convenient for shipowners to achieve better energy-saving effects while operating and managing, thereby maximizing energy efficiency and economy.
