WMMP ships three intelligent jack-up offshore support platforms to the Middle East

On May 22, three intelligent jack-up offshore operation support platforms—JANA505, JANA508, and JANA509—built by CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP) as the main contractor, set sail from Qingdao Haixi Heavy-Duty Machinery Co., Ltd. (HHMC) wharf to the Middle East. This marks a new record for the company in terms of the number of offshore platforms shipped in a single batch.

The three intelligent jack-up offshore support platforms delivered this time are all equipped with class notations such as “IDM-A” and “SMART” certified by ABS, integrating a number of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, and designed to reach the advanced level.

These platforms are not only equipped with high efficient operation capability, but also with advanced intelligent system and green design, which can meet the diversified operation and residence requirements such as platform lifting, cargo lifting, platform self-propelled, etc. under the complex marine environment.

As representative works in the field of offshore jack-up support platform equipment manufacturing, the successful delivery and shipment of the three platforms once again demonstrated the competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing in the international market.

WMMP stated that as the flagship and system integration pioneer of domestic ship and offshore engineering equipment supporting enterprises, its offshore platform business segment has undergone more than ten years of rapid development. Through independent research and development and technological innovation, it has gradually grown into a domestic first-class multifunctional self-elevating offshore platform general contractor construction enterprise.
