Chongqing Jinlong Shipbuilding secures orders for 12 new energy vessels

On May 9, Chinese shipbuilder Chongqing Jinlong Shipbuilding entered into a contract with Chongqing Shunhua Ro-Ro Shipping for the construction of 10+2 new energy vessels.

The contract includes 2 new energy Type II RoPax vessels with a length of 130 meters and 10 LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) multi-purpose bulk carrier, each with a length of 130 meters. All the vessels are scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2027.

Chongqing Jinlong Shipbuilding is located in Chongqing Zhongxian Industrial Park. It currently has more than 12,000 square meters of indoor workshops and 5 outdoor slipways with a total area of ​​18,000 square meters. It has large-scale shipbuilding equipment such as 150T gantry cranes, a sound modern management system, and has obtained various shipbuilding enterprise production capacity and management system certificates.

At present, Chongqing Jinlong Shipbuilding has planned the second phase construction program for 2025, covering a new area of 100 mu and purchasing 280 sets of additional equipment, which will increase the annual processing capacity of more than 10,000 tons. The shipyard will rely on high-tech construction technologies such as 3D modeling, digital workshops, and modular construction to optimize the construction cycle and ensure on-time delivery of vessels.
