On April 25th, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Wuchang Shipbuilding delivered the 1100TEU container ship No.2 built for CA SHIPPING ahead of schedule.
It is reported that this 1100 TEU container ship is the third generation of the latest type of feeder container ship released by CSSC Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI). With a length of 147.9 meters and a beam of 23.25 meters, the container ship can carry 1,182 standard 20-foot containers, and its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) fully meets the EEDI III requirements.
Compared with container ships of the same type, it is characterized by large load capacity, large number of heavy containers, large number of cold containers, large number of high containers, high speed and low fuel consumption. Also, the container ship is equipped with intelligent systems including integrated platform functions and intelligent energy efficiency management, hull performance management, intelligent video management, etc., which is a green environmental protection ship that integrates economy, safety and intelligence.
Established in 2022, CA Shipping is a joint venture between Fortune Vcontainer Carriers and ASL NAVIGATION. CA Shipping, which is owned as to 60% by Fortune Vcontainer Carriers and 40% by ASL NAVIGATION, is an indirect, non-wholly owned subsidiary of CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited. Fortune Vcontainer Carriers is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited incorporated in Hong Kong and is principally engaged in the provision of chartering services.
