On September 29, Chinese shipbuilder Jianglong Shipbuilding announced that it had signed two contracts with a client for the construction of 78-meter multi-purpose offshore supply vessels, with a total contract value of US$39.98 million.

According to the announcement, the first of the two vessels is scheduled to be delivered on or before June 19, 2028, and the second on or before August 18, 2028.
Jianglong Shipbuilding stated that, as the contract contains commercial secrets—the disclosure of which could lead to unfair competition and harm the interests of the company and its investors—it has been granted an exemption from disclosing the specific details of the counterparty in accordance with relevant information disclosure regulations; the company has duly completed the internal procedures for this exemption.
According to information from a previous earnings briefing, excluding the aforementioned orders, the value of new orders signed by Jianglong Shipbuilding for the first half of 2026 (excluding tax) was RMB 710 million (approximately US$106 million), a year-on-year increase of 243.00%; the value of orders on hand (excluding tax) was RMB 1.655 billion (approximately US$247 million), a year-on-year increase of 23.42%.
The signing of this contract marks yet another recognition by the international market of Jianglong Shipbuilding’s capabilities in the research, development, and construction of offshore vessels, and represents a significant breakthrough in the company’s internationalization strategy.
