Hilong Signs ASK Development EPC03 Project Contract with PTTEP in Myanmar

Recently, Hilong Offshore Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited, a subsidiary of Hilong Group, and PTTEP recently held a signing ceremony for the ASK Development EPC03 Project in Yangon, Myanmar. The signing marks a new phase in the cooperation between the two companies and represents an important milestone for Hilong, as it is the first time the company will participate in a PTTEP-related project as an EPCI contractor.

PTTEP has long been active in Southeast Asia’s energy sector and regards Myanmar as an important part of its regional energy development portfolio. With extensive experience in offshore oil and gas development in Myanmar, PTTEP has participated in and operated multiple offshore gas projects in the country.

The ASK Project is more than an engineering project; it is closely connected to local energy supply and future development. According to the current development plan, the project will include the construction of two wellhead platforms to develop offshore natural gas resources. Safe execution, high-quality delivery and timely completion are expected to support the stability of local energy supply and contribute to Myanmar’s energy development and socio-economic progress.

As a long-term partner of PTTEP, Hilong’s cooperation with PTTEP did not begin with the ASK Project. The two parties have established a solid working relationship across a number of offshore engineering projects, with cooperation covering FEED, project management, procurement, transportation and installation of platforms and subsea pipelines, as well as pre-commissioning activities.

From previous dedicated service scopes to the EPCI execution of the ASK EPC03 Project, the cooperation between Hilong and PTTEP has further evolved from project support to integrated project delivery. The signing reflects PTTEP’s recognition of Hilong’s project execution capabilities, engineering management strengths and HSE performance, as well as the two companies’ shared commitment to safety, quality, schedule performance and joint accountability.

Hilong will leverage its integrated EPCIC capabilities in offshore engineering, including project management, engineering design, procurement coordination, construction support, offshore installation and commissioning. The company will assign an experienced project team and key management resources to support the safe, efficient and high-quality execution of the ASK EPC03 Project.

During the signing ceremony, Hilong stated that the partnership built over the years is not only a continuation of business cooperation, but also a journey of mutual trust, shared growth and joint efforts to address challenges. Looking ahead to the project execution phase, Hilong will continue to uphold the principles of safety first, quality-driven delivery, efficient collaboration and customer focus. The company will maintain close communication and effective coordination with the PTTEP project team to help ensure that project execution meets high standards.

“One Team, One Goal” is not only the theme of the signing ceremony, but will also serve as an important guiding principle for both parties as they work together toward the successful delivery of the ASK EPC03 Project. Going forward, Hilong looks forward to building on the ASK Project as a new starting point to further deepen its cooperation with PTTEP in offshore energy engineering and jointly contribute to regional energy development and reliable energy supply.
