Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE) held a steel cutting ceremony for the first 9,000 m³ LNG tank (T305 Project) constructed for South Korea’s SUNBO.

CIMC SOE stated that the 9,000m³ LNG tanks now under construction are configured with two tanks per vessel; they are independent Type C, semi-refrigerated and semi-pressurized tanks, and upon completion, they will be installed on 18,000m³ LNG carriers.
SUNBO has long been a key partner of CIMC SOE, and the two companies have consistently maintained a strong and friendly working relationship in the liquid tank sector. Previously, CIMC SOE has successfully delivered multiple liquid tank projects to SUNBO.
The successful launch of this project to build the first 9,000m³ LNG storage tank marks a new milestone in the partnership between the two parties and lays a solid foundation for the future construction of additional new-generation fuel storage and transportation equipment.
