Jiangnan Shipyard Kicks Off Construction of 150,000 cbm ULEC for EPS

On March 1, Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), began its first working day of the Year of the Horse. On that day, construction officially commenced on a 150,000 cbm Ultra Large Ethane Carrier (ULEC) (Hull No.H2846) for Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. (EPS).

According to reports, this series of vessels represents the world’s first and largest capacity order for MARK III membrane-type ethane carriers, and the vessel that has commenced construction this time is the fifth in the series.

On the same day, Jiangnan Heavy Industry held an unveiling ceremony for its new office building on the first day of construction.
