On November 5, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Beihai Shipbuilding, in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), held the delivery and naming ceremony for the fourth 210,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier “RURI EARTH”, custom-built for Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL).

As the flagship vessel of the first four vessels built by Beihai Shipbuilding for MOL, the high-quality delivery of the “RURI EARTH” marks the successful conclusion of the initial collaboration between Beihai Shipbuilding and MOL.
Designed by China Ship Design & Research Center Co., Ltd. (CSDC), the RURI EARTH measures 299.95 meters in overall length and 50 meters in beam. Equipped with an advanced LNG dual-fuel propulsion system, it complies with the latest environmental standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

From optimizing processes in the construction phase to ensuring operational efficiency during the operation stage, Beihai Shipbuilding has been practicing the concept of “full-lifecycle green development” and steadily advancing toward the goal of “building high-quality vessels”.
This batch of high-quality vessels constructed by Beihai Shipbuilding has won high praise from shipowner MOL, classification society ClassNK and various charterers. MOL has repeatedly stated that Beihai Shipbuilding’s development goals are highly aligned with MOL’s strategy of pursuing sustainable shipping development, which has laid a solid foundation for the long-term and stable cooperation between the two parties.
Notably, the second batch of vessels under the collaboration between Beihai Shipbuilding and MOL will commence construction in the first half of 2026. The company will continuously refine its design and enhance construction techniques by drawing on comprehensive experience gained from the initial batch, striving to deliver subsequent batches of vessels to MOL with even higher quality.
