Dajin Heavy Industry Bags Orders for 12 Vessels, with Parent Company Providing Counter-guarantee Support

Bestway Marine & Energy Technology’s subsidiary, Dajin Heavy Industry, has recently received orders for two types of 12 new vessels.

On August 13, Bestway Marine & Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bestway Marine & Energy Technology”) issued the “Announcement on Providing Counter-guarantee for the Letter of Guarantee Matters of Its Subsidiary and Providing Guarantee for Its Subsidiary”.

The announcement disclosed that Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dajin Heavy Industry”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, and China Shipbuilding Trading Shanghai Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CSTC”) signed a project construction contract for 6 7,350-dwt multi-purpose general cargo vessels and the corresponding “Vessel Export Cooperation Agreement”.

Bestway Marine & Energy Technology intends to provide CSTC with a counter-guarantee of no more than US$59.4 million in total for Dajin Heavy Industry in respect of the letter of guarantee under the above-mentioned main contract. The total amount of the guarantee is expected to be equivalent to approximately RMB 424 million.

The announcement shows that the hull numbers of these six multi-purpose general cargo vessels are DJHC6171, DJHC6172, DJHC6173, DJHC6174, DJHC6175 and DJHC6176. They are scheduled to start construction on June 30, 2026, and will be delivered for operation from September 2027 to December 2028.

It is worth noting that recently, Dajin Heavy Industry has successfully obtained the EPC contract for six 65-meter anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, making new progress in the expansion of the offshore engineering market.

This cooperation fully demonstrates the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) general contracting capability of Dajin Heavy Industry’s EPC Offshore Engineering Center, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, which can provide full-process services ranging from design and construction to after-sales support.

Bestway Marine & Energy Technology will take this signing as an important opportunity to further cultivate the offshore engineering market. With advanced ship products, a sound service system and outstanding technical strength, it will promote the development of regional marine economy.
