OceanSTAR Elite Group of Companies (“OceanSTAR” or “OSE”) announced that it has successfully obtained the Approval in Principle (AiP) certificate for the design principles of its deepwater Floating Production Unit (FPU) Generic Hull. The certificate was issued by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), recognizing the compliance of the preliminary design with applicable rules and standards.
The certified design is tailored for operations in water depths exceeding 2,000 meters, showcasing OceanSTAR’s advanced engineering capabilities and its commitment to addressing the challenges of deepwater oil and gas development.
The AiP covers the evaluation of the hull structure design principles, general layout, and scantlings of longitudinal members in the midship area. This achievement demonstrates the feasibility of the preliminary design and marks a significant milestone in OceanSTAR’s commitment to innovation and excellence in offshore engineering.
